So. Nasty. What’s left to say that hasn’t been said yet? Not much, so I’ll just skip the intro and get straight to the point. NASTY has a new album out scheduled for release on September 22nd, but thanks to the good folks at 7even AM Music we got a sneak peak at the album a month in advance. And goddamn. I’m here to preach the gospel of the NASTY generation. As we were discussing the album, Robin Derriks made a point that perfectly sums this album up in a nutshell; ‘Everything NASTY touches turns to gold.’ And he wasn’t talking bullshit either. ‘REALIGION’ has a solid 13 tracks (including the interlude) and clocks in just shy of 30 minutes and has all the ingredients you would expect for a classic album in the making. If you know what NASTY is all about, you won’t even bother with this review. You’ll know what to expect. Beatdown with that typical NASTY sound without any signs of losing their touch. If you haven’t heard anything of NASTY, pick out any album/single/videoclip. Any one of ’em. NASTY is one of those bands that consistently delivers quality. ‘REALIGION’ is no exception. Easily placed in my (Jeroen) top 3 of 2017 albums so far.
